Company introduces multi-cloud visibility dashboards and an AIOps inference engine to easily extract signal from noise.
OpsRamp, the IT operations management platform for the modern enterprise, today announced OpsRamp 5.0, a major update to its multi-tenant software as a service (SaaS) platform. The 5.0 release delivers greater visibility for multi-cloud environments and features a new Artificial Intelligence for IT Operations (AIOps) inference engine for more powerful alerting and event correlation. These new innovations will help enterprise IT teams to optimize cloud costs, speed up incident response, leverage data-driven insights for IT operations and embrace service-centric management.
Here are five key highlights of the 5.0 release:
Multi-Cloud Visibility. The OpsRamp 5.0 Multi-Cloud Visibility Dashboard features three new widgets for managing hybrid IT, multi-cloud consumption, and cloud cost trends:
- The Global Assets widget shows a geographical distribution of IT assets across datacenter and cloud environments.
- The Cloud Cost Insights widget shows public cloud spend to date, with a breakdown by cloud account, by custom attributes, and other criteria.
- The Cloud Cost Trend widget presents public cloud cost trends over time, enabling IT teams to access cost trends by resource type, custom attributes, and other criteria.
AIOps Inference Engine. To improve root-cause analysis and reduce mean-time-to-resolution, OpsRamp 5.0 introduces the company’s first AIOps inference engine. Customers can now learn how events are correlated and focus their attention on the alerts that matter.
Enhanced Reporting. The new custom reporting feature allows IT teams to slice and dice operational data to quickly gain operational insights.
Redesigned Service Maps. New and improved Service Maps offer an easier way to organize, visualize, and monitor any IT infrastructure footprint through a simplified line-of-sight between an IT service and its underlying workloads.
Expanded Integrations. OpsRamp now offers 46 Microsoft Azure, 28 AWS, and 15 Google Cloud Platform integrations to manage IaaS and PaaS services. New integrations with OpsRamp 5.0 include Google Stackdriver for hybrid monitoring, ManageEngine ServiceDesk Plus for enhanced service delivery, and Micro Focus Operations Manager i to accelerate migration from legacy ITOM suites to a modern platform.
“The OpsRamp platform processes billions of metrics per day in real-time, across global 1,000 enterprises and hundreds of managed services providers,” said VP of Product Management, Mahesh Ramachandran. “OpsRamp 5.0 is a major milestone for our team, enabling customers to truly understand the makeup of their hybrid infrastructures, including multi-cloud spend visibility. Our latest release delivers the foundation for automated IT infrastructure management, driven by deeper cloud visibility and AI and machine learning capabilities.”
“As cloud adoption spreads, there’s a definite market need for innovative solutions that provide clarity, control, and visibility into multi-cloud environments,” said William Fellows, Founder and Research Vice President of 451 Research. “The OpsRamp 5.0 platform can help effectively manage cross-platform cloud services, avoid vendor lock-in or the dreaded underutilization of multi-cloud resources.”
OpsRamp’s new platform updates also broaden and deepen the capabilities of the company’s two solutions: Unified Service Discovery that drives visibility across hybrid infrastructures, and Unified Service Intelligence which combines contextual monitoring with smart event management. Together, these solutions are a powerful way to deliver modern IT operations as a service across multi-cloud, hybrid infrastructures.
